From Delhi there are many buses available like deluxe, non deluxe etc. These buses will take you to Dehradun. Dehradun is well connected with many cities by railways. Dehradun express,Nanda Devi express are popular for this route. After arriving at Dehradun railway station you can take a bus or hire a cab to Pantwari. If you want to come to Dehradun by flight then first you need to arrive at Jolly Grant airport. This airport is 25 kilometres from Dehradun. Trekking Duration:
A trip to Nag tibba can be completed within 2 to 3 days. It depends on you. If you search the web then you will find that it is a “perfect beginner trek”. Distance from Dehradun to Pantwari village is five to six hours. From this village you need to trek 4 kilometres to the Nag Tibba campsite. Here you can explore the Nag Tibba temple. On the next day, start your trek from Nag Tibba Temple to Nag Tibba Summit.
Easy Terrain & Basic fitness:
Though the summit is at 9,915 feet the trek is easy for its great terrain. A gentle trail goes through mesmerising meadows, dense forest will make this trek perfect for the beginner trekkers. If you haven’t any prior experience don’t worry still you can go for this trek. In the summer season one can experience vegetation, many colourful wildflowers that are blooming on the trail.
Though this is an easy task still if you have a basic fitness then you can easily complete this trek. Before doing the trek a 2 to 3 kilometres walk will be good for you.
Throughout The Year Trek:
One can do this trek throughout the year. In the winter season you can get a chance to experience snowfall. Fresh white snow will cover the trekking trail. This time you will find another beauty of mother nature. In the winter season most of the Himalayas trekking routes became closed but this trek remained open throughout the year. In summer the trail became green which is quite different from winter. The smell of the wild flower will be amazing this time. Don;t go for this trek in monsoon season as the trail becomes slippery due to rainfall also this is a landslide prone area.
