There are many routes that lead to the Annapurna base camp like-
- The standard route i.e. starting from Pokhara via Ghorepani poon hills to Annapurna base camp. It is trip of 11 days from starting to returning back to Pokhara
- The second trail starts from Nayapul and passes through various places like Birethanti, Ramghai, Sudame, Tadapani, Sinuwa,Deuralietc. And finally reaching the Annapurna base camp.While returning, the trekkers follow the standard route .

Best time for trekking to Annapurna base camp
There are two seasons in which it is favourable to go for Annapurna base camp trek.One is between February and may. During this time, it is warmer in Annapurna region and is ideal for trekking.
The other season is between October and December. This is the most popular time for trekking in the Annapurna base camp. During this time, it is very difficult to find rooms for staying during the trek so plan your journey accordingly if you want to go for a trek during this time.
An itinerary to the 7 day trek of Annapurna Base camp
As you would be knowing that the Annapurna base camp trek is almost 7 days long so, here is a seven days itinerary for you fro guiding and informing you about the different sections and phases of the trek.
DAY-1: from Pokhara to phedi and then to to Tolka(1750m)
Today, the journey of the seven day trek begins. You will be driving from Pokhara to Phedi and then trek through the beautiful villages of Dhampus ,Pothana and trek to Tolka for overnight stay.
DAY-2: Trek to Sinuwa(2100 m)
Today, you will be trekking from Tolka to Sinuwa. During this trek you will pass through Modi Khola after Landruk and then cros a big suspension bridge at Jhinu danda. After a steep climb up to Chhomrong , you will be at village Gurung. From this village, you will trek down to a river and then again climb up to Sinuwa. You will be staying here tonight.
DAY-3: Trek to Deurali(3230 m)
Today will be a trek through the jungles.This trek would be a silent one as you would be trekking through the middle of the forest to Dovan.
DAY-4: trek to Annapurna base camp(4130 m)
We will reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Now you will have a calm and pleasant walk to Annapurna base camp. Now you can get one of the best 360 degree views of the mountains.You will stay in a lodge here for the night.
DAY-5: Trek down to Dovan, bamboo
Today you will trek down to dovan, bamboo where you will have your lunch, will take full advantage of the scenery and stay there at the lodge for tonight.This trek would be 6-7 hrs long.
DAY-6: Trek to ghandruk
From bamboo, we will start trekking and walk through the jungle to Sinuwa . From there we will walk till Gundruk and will be staying overnight at the lodge.
DAY-7 drive to pokhara
Today, we will trek for almost 1 hr to siwai and then drive to Pokhara.You will reach Pokhara in about 4-5 hours.
