I will answer the question of whether to buy an iPad keyboard, iPad keyboard case or a magic keyboard for my iPad, which I have research, study and decide for a long time. I would like to share such a special experience on my blog and give you some ideas while you make your decision. In this article, we know about best keyboards for ipad and keyboard price in Pakistan.
ipad keyboard
If you remember Apple’s recent campaign, they boosted sales of their iPads with a slogan. Under the motto “The next computer may not be a computer”, the company launched a campaign in which the mouse and especially the Magic Keyboard were central. It was a success.
As iPad users, we are very satisfied with the graphics, video, drawing and many productivity apps. In fact, there was no incompatibility from the keyboard side.
IpadOS innovations have made the mouse, keyboard, and trio of iPads almost like a computer.
Use your iPad as a computer with an iPad keyboard
You are a computer, maybe a Macbook or maybe an iPad user. Their needs and usage patterns are also changing the concept of computers. What do I mean?
There is a difference between the capabilities of computers and computers, and the difference is more in the operating system than in the hardware.
If you’re a software developer like me, you’ll find that the iPad experience doesn’t change with the iPad keyboard and mouse.
If you are a content producer, blogger, graphic designer and small video editor, iPad keyboard and mouse can turn your iPad into a computer.
The summary in this section may or may not cover the needs of the iPad, depending on the user’s profile. The iPad keyboard provides ease of use, nothing more.
What do I expect from an iPad keyboard?
While this name may vary from person to person, research has mainly shown me that it is full of users wondering how to type in bed on their knees, lying on the couch. I think this habit comes from laptop and macbook.
When used on a desktop, they all work the same, only the key feedback and typing experience comes to the fore.
IPad keyboard portability
Since the iPad is a slim portable product that emphasizes the touch experience, we do not want the iPad, which weighs between 400 and 500 grams, to weigh more than 1 kilogram.
The weight of the keyboard you choose for your iPad is a very important factor.
In the products we review, you will see many pros and cons based on weight.
Ipad keyboard using a laptop
I’m also the type of person who likes to lie down or type on a laptop instead of a desk. I think the habit came from years of using laptops and macbooks.
Because laptops are strong, stiff, and proportional, they can be used on sloping floors, above your knees, and on almost any surface.
When considering iPad keyboard options, the Apple iPad or Logitech iPad keyboards connect to each other using magnets and smart connectors. As strong as the grip, they’re far from a laptop-like experience on uneven surfaces.
While the situation is different with Magic Keyboard, you must have an iPad Air 4 or iPad Pro and accept an upfront cost of more than 2,000.
Keyboard and iPad connection
All iPad models support Bluetooth keyboards. All 7th generation and later iPad models have a Smart Connector.
The two connections we choose will differ if the iPad keyboard works with the iPad or with the keyboard’s own battery.
All iPad keyboards that use a Smart Connector work with iPad without additional power and typing without delay.
Bluetooth keyboards for iPad, on the other hand, offer different experiences in terms of battery life and lag-free typing depending on the brand and quality.
IPad keyboard and protector
The iPad keyboard and its ability to protect the iPad is another topic that frequently appears in YouTube reviews and user comments.
When we look at the Apple Smart Keyboard, we see that the back of the iPad is open. It’s a design we wouldn’t want to see in the expensive Apple accessories we’re used to.
We can say that all other options protect your iPad from all sides.
If you say no and want to use a smart keyboard, you can purchase the iPad Smart Keyboard Sheild, which is sold as an optional accessory.
Let’s take a look at the iPad keyboard options.
We’ve talked about many aspects of iPad keyboards and our expectations. When I bought the iPad keyboard, I think I carefully considered what experience it would give us, or what aspects of it we didn’t need.
Let’s take a look at iPad keyboard options and iPad keyboard reviews together.
bluetooth keyboard on ipad
Bluetooth keyboards for iPad are the cheapest option in terms of cost. You can find many products in cheap and expensive price-quality classifications.
I will discuss two products in detail here. This will give you an idea of other alternatives.
Everest Bluetooth Keyboard Ipad
This is a surprisingly good iPad keyboard that has been highly rated in many user reviews.
The appearance is almost the same as the Magic Keyboard 🙂
In my experience, yes, while it’s a keyboard that does its job well, I define it as a keyboard.
If you say I’m going to write an email or surf the web, you don’t need the more expensive option.
Logitech K380 Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad
Logitech quality Bluetooth keyboard not only for iPad, but also for mobile devices, computers and tablets.
You connect 3 devices at the same time and quickly switch between them. This keyboard that I use really makes my life easier.
The keys are round, which at first seems like a problem. As for the use, I can say that getting used to it is not a problem.
The response is quite good, it provides fast and smooth typing.
I’ve never had a problem with dropouts or delays after Bluetooth pairing.
They are quite satisfied with the battery life, you don’t have to replace the battery for months.
Smart keyboard for iPad
For those who want to be part of the Apple ecosystem with an Apple product, the inseparable iPad duo is the iPad Smart Keyboard.
The smart keyboard is beautiful, very beautiful. A must for all budget-conscious iPad users.
It is the best keyboard accessory in many ways, such as typing, feedback, no need for extra power and smart plug connection.
You can type on your knees, yes it will give you a good typing experience, no.
This is the perfect accessory if you need a complete desktop solution.
You just have to accept the thousand pound fee. And then the question arises: why does it make no sense to buy an iPad or Macbook if I evaluate them together with the iPad and its accessories? The choice is yours…
Magic keyboard for iPad
In 2020, the iPad Air is the most interesting, convenient, but no less expensive iPad keyboard that Apple has released for the iPad Pro models.
The iPad comes with a Touch Bar and a Magic Keyboard. With a keyboard and trackpad you get a package with the capabilities of a laptop.
I’d like to reiterate that while the iPad/Magic Keyboard duo looks like a laptop, it’s far from a laptop for software developers and engineers.
Either way, you get a laptop experience. Magic Keyboard does not require extra power like a smart keyboard and provides a magical keyboard experience for Macbook and Mac in terms of typing and feedback.
Unfortunately, there is no Magic Keyboard support for iPad 7 and iPad 8. Looking at the price side, we see a price tag of 2000+.
Alternatives to iPad Smart Keyboard and iPad Magic Keyboard
When it comes to the high prices of Apple accessories, you can definitely take a look at the Logitech family of products. It comes close to Apple accessories in terms of functionality and sometimes offers a better experience.
The only downside is that they are heavy, almost twice the weight of an iPad.
Logitech Combo Touch keyboard for iPad
Logitech Combo Touch Ipad 7.8, alternative to Ipad Magic Keyboard, may be compatible with Ipad Air and Ipad Pro models.
It consists of two parts: a keyboard and a protective cover. The keyboard with magnetic and smart connector is not exactly like the Magic Keyboard.
And if it didn’t weigh 500 grams, I’d say it’s the best iPad keyboard out there.
Again, you can use a laptop with a touchpad, a backlit screen and a quality keyboard.
Typing on a laptop is much better than on a smart keyboard, but slightly worse than on a magic keyboard. For iPad 8, this is the best option.
Logitech Slim Folio Ipad Keyboard
Unlike the Combo Touch, the Logitech Slim Folio does not have a touch pad. It only comes with the keyboard. Despite this, its weight is almost the same as the Combo Touch.
The difference between the two products is that there’s a price difference of a whopping £500. If you need a touchpad, you should consider the Combo Touch.
Apart from these differences, the quality of the keyboard and your experience will be very similar.
Typing on a laptop is similar to Combo Touch, the only difference is that there is no touchpad.
Bonus: iPad mouse recommendation
While the iPad offers great touch controls, you might want to buy an iPad mouse if you’re used to using a mouse like I am, or if you’re more comfortable using a mouse when creating content.
There are many cheap and expensive Bluetooth mice on the market.
Your iPad mouse must be a Bluetooth mouse.
The mouse I recommend here and am very happy with is the Logitech Pebble M350 Bluetooth Ipad mouse model.
This mouse has a wireless receiver and a Bluetooth pairing function. I use it with my computer which I use daily for wireless connection and Ipad for bluetooth connection.
At the bottom of the Logitech Pebble M350 is a switch between parties. I can switch between the same two devices.
It was a surprise to me that the accuracy of the laser and the pointer follow the plane without gaps. This performance for this price really exceeded my expectations.
The only negative I can say is the design of the mouse. You cannot catch the mouse. There is an empty space in the palm of your hand. However, it caused no pain or problems during use.
The choice is yours…
This was a long message.
I wanted to gather all my research here and give you an idea. I hope I’ve covered the right places in the directory for your intended use.
